Chicken Fried Chicken Sliders
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they're fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In a shallow dish, mix together the all-purpose flour and cornstarch. Dredge the marinated chicken thighs in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the coated chicken thighs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 4
Assemble Sliders
Slice the slider buns in half. Place a piece of fried chicken on each bottom half, top with crispy onion rings, a dollop of herb aioli, and a spoonful of blistered green chili sauce. Cover with the top half of the bun.
- 5
Serve
Serve the sliders warm with extra chili sauce on the side if desired.
