Cooking Instructions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In a separate shallow dish, add the all-purpose flour. Season the flour with additional salt and pepper if desired.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Remove the marinated chicken from the fridge. Dredge each piece in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Make sure to coat evenly.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot (around 350°F or 175°C), carefully add the breaded chicken. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together stoned ground mustard and honey to create a sauce. Adjust the ratio to taste.
