Method

Prepare the Fries

  1. 1

    Cut and Soak Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips. Soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Heat Oil

In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 3

    Fry Potatoes

Remove the potatoes from the water, pat them dry with a paper towel, and fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  4. 4

    Season Fries

Remove fries from the oil, drain on paper towels, and season with salt to taste.

Prepare the Fried Hot Dogs

  1. 5

    Heat Oil

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat.

  2. 6

    Fry Hot Dogs

Add the hot dogs to the skillet and cook until they are browned and heated through, about 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally.

Prepare the Fried Eggs

  1. 7

    Melt Butter

In a separate skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. 8

    Fry Eggs

Crack the eggs into the skillet and fry until the whites are set and the yolks are cooked to your liking, about 3-4 minutes.

Assemble the Dish

  1. 9

    Plate the Fries

On a large serving platter, layer the crispy fries as the base.

  2. 10

    Add Hot Dogs

Cut the fried hot dogs into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle them over the fries.

  3. 11

    Top with Eggs

Place the fried eggs on top of the hot dogs.

  4. 12

    Drizzle with Sauces

Drizzle ketchup, mayonnaise, and hot sauce over the entire dish to taste.

  5. 13

    Serve Immediately

Serve the Salchimontado hot and enjoy!
