Method
Preparation of Beef and Vegetables
- 1
- 2
Sauté the Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add the beef strips and sauté until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- 3
Cook the Onions and Tomatoes
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil if needed. Add the sliced onions and sauté for about 3 minutes until they become translucent. Then add the tomatoes and continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the tomatoes are soft.
- 4
Preparation of Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries.
- 6
Fry the Potatoes
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the potato strips in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.
Preparation of Rice Side
- 7
Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and all water is absorbed.
