Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Sugar Syrup

In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of granulated sugar and 4 cups of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  2. 2

    Add Flavoring

Once the sugar syrup has cooled, stir in 1 tsp of citric acid and 1 tsp of natural bubble gum flavoring. Mix well to combine.

  3. 3

    Color the Mixture

Add 1 drop of yellow food coloring to the syrup mixture. Stir until the color is evenly distributed.

  4. 4

    Combine with Carbonated Water

In a large pitcher, combine the sugar syrup mixture with 6 cups of carbonated water. Stir gently to mix without losing too much carbonation.

  5. 5

    Serve

Pour the Inca Kola into glasses filled with ice. Optionally, garnish with a slice of lemon or lime. Enjoy your homemade Peruvian soft drink!
