Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Toast
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette or ciabatta bread into 1-inch thick slices. Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush one side with olive oil.
- 2
Toast the Bread
Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- 3
Prepare the Figs and Tomatoes
While the bread is toasting, wash the fresh figs and cherry tomatoes. Cut the figs in half and the cherry tomatoes into quarters.
Assembly
- 4
Assemble the Dish
On a serving platter, create a bed of arugula. Place the toasted bread slices on top of the arugula.
- 5
Add Toppings
Layer the burrata cheese in the center of the bread slices. Then, arrange the halved figs and quartered cherry tomatoes around the burrata.
- 6
Finish with Prosciutto
Drape the prosciutto slices over the burrata and figs, allowing them to hang off the sides for a beautiful presentation.
- 7
Drizzle with Balsamic
Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the assembled dish to enhance flavor.
