Marinade and Chicken
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the whole chicken in a large resealable bag or a deep dish. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 350°F/175°C). If using charcoal, prepare the coals for indirect grilling.
- 4
Cook the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Brush the chicken with olive oil and place it on the grill, breast side up. Cover and cook for about 30-40 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with the remaining marinade until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Rest and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
