Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Add Nuts and Dried Fruits
Fold in the almonds and dried cranberries (or chocolate chips) until evenly distributed.

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a log about 12 inches long and 3 inches wide.

Place the log on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until lightly golden and firm to the touch.

Remove the log from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Then, carefully slice it into 1/2 inch thick pieces.

Lay the slices on their sides on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.
