Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sear the Steak

Add the seasoned ribeye steak to the pan. Sear for about 4-5 minutes without moving it to develop a crust.

  4. 4

    Add Aromatics

Flip the steak and add garlic and rosemary to the pan. Continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, spooning the oil over the steak for added flavor.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into quarters. Place them in a large pot filled with salted water.

  2. 7

    Boil Potatoes

Bring the pot to a boil and cook the potatoes until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. 8

    Mash Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until creamy and smooth.

Greens Preparation

  1. 9

    Prepare Green Beans

Trim the ends of the green beans and set aside.

  2. 10

    Sauté Green Beans

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

  3. 11

    Cook Green Beans

Add the green beans to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
