1. Prepare the Glass
Begin by preparing your glass. If you like a salted rim, run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and then dip it into a plate of salt to coat the rim.
2. Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, 1 oz of triple sec, and 0.5 oz of simple syrup. Add ice to the shaker.
3. Shake the Cocktail
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
4. Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
