Taco Filling Preparation
- 1
Cook the Meat
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
Add Seasoning
Once the meat is browned, drain excess fat if necessary. Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet. Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
Taco Assembly
- 3
Prepare Tortillas
Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for about 30 seconds to make them pliable.
- 4
Assemble Tacos
Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro as desired.
- 5
Serve
Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
