Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine the flank steak, olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and lime juice. Mix well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Prepare Vegetables

While the steak is marinating, slice the onion and bell peppers into thin strips.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade (discard the marinade) and sear the steak for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly caramelized.

  3. 5

    Flambé with Tequila

Carefully add the tequila to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Allow it to ignite (using a long lighter or match) and flambé for about 1-2 minutes until the flames subside.

  4. 6

    Combine and Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve it on a platter with the sautéed vegetables. Top with chopped cilantro for garnish. Enjoy your Lindo Flameado!
