Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F / 190°C to 200°C).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Assembling the Sandwich
- 5
Toast the Buns
While the chicken is grilling, toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until they are lightly golden and crispy.
- 6
Build the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with lettuce leaves, grilled chicken, and tomato slices. Place the top half of the bun on the sandwich.
Serving
- 7
Serve
Cut the grilled chicken sandwich in half if desired, and serve immediately while hot.
