Method
Preparation of Nachos
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 2
Arrange Tortilla Chips
Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet. Ensure they are not overlapping too much for even heating.
- 3
Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the tortilla chips. Make sure to cover them well for maximum cheesiness.
- 4
Add Jalapeños
Distribute the sliced jalapeños on top of the cheese-covered chips, adding as much or as little as you prefer based on your spice tolerance.
- 5
Bake the Nachos
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving the Nachos
- 6
Prepare to Serve
Once the cheese is melted, remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool for a minute.
- 7
Add Salsa and Garnish
Drizzle the salsa over the nachos or serve it on the side. Add dollops of sour cream and sprinkle the chopped cilantro on top for freshness.
- 8
Serve Immediately
Serve the nachos hot and enjoy with additional salsa or toppings as desired.
