Buffalo Sauce
Method
Preparation of Chicken Wings
- 1
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure that the wings will cook evenly and become crispy.
- 2
Prepare the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, salt, black pepper, and baking powder. Toss until the wings are evenly coated with the seasonings.
- 3
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack to allow air to circulate around them.
Cooking the Wings
- 4
Bake the Wings
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through to ensure they cook evenly and become crispy.
Making the Buffalo Sauce
- 5
Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the hot sauce, unsalted butter, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and honey. Stir until the butter is melted and all ingredients are well mixed.
- 6
Simmer Sauce
Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat once thickened slightly.
Tossing and Serving
- 7
Toss Wings in Sauce
Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until they are fully coated.
- 8
Serve
Serve the buffalo wings hot with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks on the side.
