Prepare the Glass
Run a lemon wedge around the rim of a chilled cocktail glass to moisten it.

Sugar the Rim
Dip the moistened rim of the glass into granulated sugar to coat it evenly. Set aside.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, triple sec, and sweetened lemon juice.

Shake it Up
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass. Optionally, garnish with a lemon wedge on the rim.
