Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, whisk together the coconut milk, sugar, cornstarch, water, and salt until well combined.

Cook Mixture
Place the saucepan over medium heat and continuously stir the mixture until it begins to thicken and bubble, which should take about 10-15 minutes.

Pour into Dish
Once thickened, pour the mixture into an 8x8 inch dish or a similar-sized container. Use a spatula to smooth the top.

Cool and Set
Allow the haupia to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.

Cut and Serve
Once set, cut the haupia into squares or rectangles. Serve chilled, optionally topped with shredded coconut, mango slices, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
