Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Thinly slice the onions and mushrooms. Season the rib-eye steak with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Caramelize the Onions

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown and caramelized. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Cook the Rib-eye Steak

Increase the heat to medium-high. Add the seasoned rib-eye steak to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the ciabatta rolls in half. Spread horseradish mustard on the bottom half. Layer with sliced rib-eye steak, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese. Place the top half of the ciabatta roll on the sandwich.

  6. 6

    Serve with French Fries

Prepare french fries according to package instructions or fry fresh ones. Serve alongside the rib-eye steak sandwich.
