Prepare the Blueberries
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the fresh blueberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and set aside to macerate for about 15 minutes.

Combine and Bake
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spoon the macerated blueberries over the batter. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown.

Prepare the Ice Cream Base
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and 1 cup of sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Cook the Mixture
Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly and coats the back of a spoon.

Chill and Freeze
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let it cool, then refrigerate until chilled. Once cold, churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions.
