Method

Preparing the Bruschetta Base

  1. 1

    Slice the Baguette

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the French baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  2. 2

    Toast the Baguette

Arrange the sliced baguette on a baking sheet. Brush both sides of each slice lightly with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

  3. 3

    Add Garlic

After toasting, rub the toasted side of each slice with a garlic clove for added flavor.

  4. 4

    Season

Sprinkle the toasted baguette slices with salt and black pepper.

Cooking the Bacon

  1. 5

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. This will take about 5-8 minutes. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  2. 6

    Crumble the Bacon

Once cool, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

Making the Herb Sauce

  1. 7

    Blend the Sauce

In a food processor, combine fresh basil, fresh parsley, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

  2. 8

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste the herb sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary. Set aside.

Assembling the Bruschetta

  1. 9

    Spread Cheese

On each toasted baguette slice, spread a generous amount of goat cheese followed by shredded mozzarella cheese.

  2. 10

    Add Bacon

Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the cheeses on each bruschetta slice.

  3. 11

    Drizzle with Herb Sauce

Drizzle the herb sauce generously over each assembled bruschetta.

Serving

  1. 12

    Serve Immediately

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately while still warm.
