Cooking the Pasta

Boil the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
Preparing the Sauce

Sauté the Aromatics
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the Calabrian chili paste and mix well.

Deglaze with Wine
Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the wine reduces slightly.

Make it Creamy
Stir in the heavy cream and allow it to simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Finish and Serve
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Mix well and serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
