Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribeye

Slice the ribeye steak into thin strips using a sharp knife. Season with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Caramelize the Onions

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown and caramelized.

  3. 3

    Make the Onion Jus

In another pot, bring the beef broth to a simmer. Add the caramelized onions and let it simmer for an additional 10 minutes to combine the flavors.

  4. 4

    Cook the Ribeye

In the skillet with the onions, push the onions to the side and add the sliced ribeye. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the ribeye is cooked to your liking.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

On a plate, layer the cooked ribeye and caramelized onions, then sprinkle with alpine cheese. Drizzle some onion jus over the top. Serve with onion rings on the side.
