    Prepare the Steak

Season the hanger steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

Heat a grill or skillet over high heat. Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Making Yucca Hash

  1. 4

    Prepare the Yucca

Boil the diced yucca in salted water for about 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions, garlic, and bell pepper until softened.

  3. 6

    Combine and Cook

Add the boiled yucca to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until slightly crispy.

Making Sofrito

  1. 7

    Sauté Aromatics

In a saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic until fragrant.

  2. 8

    Add Tomatoes and Spices

Stir in diced tomatoes and cumin, and season with salt. Cook for about 10 minutes until thickened.

Making Salsa Borracha

  1. 9

    Blend the Ingredients

In a blender, combine roasted tomatoes, chili de arbol, garlic, onion, and beer. Blend until smooth.

  2. 10

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste and add salt as needed.
