Fries

Method

Preparation of Fries

  1. 1

    Cut and Soak Potatoes

Peel and cut the Russet potatoes into thin strips. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Drain and Dry

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

  3. 3

    Heat Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Fry the potatoes in batches for about 4-5 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Season with Salt

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.

Truffle Oil Topping

  1. 6

    Add Toppings

Drizzle the hot fries with white truffle oil, and sprinkle with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
