Whip Egg Yolks and Sugar
Add granulated sugar to the bowl with egg yolks and whisk until the mixture is pale and creamy.

Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture until smooth and well combined.

Using an electric mixer, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
Coffee Mixture

Prepare Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee and allow it to cool. If using, mix in the coffee liqueur.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, place a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.

Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
