Prepare the Tomato Mixture
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil and Garlic
Chop the fresh basil leaves finely and mince the garlic cloves. Add both to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Season the Mixture
Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the tomato mixture. Season with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to combine all ingredients.
Toast the Bread

Slice the Baguette
Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the Slices
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush them lightly with olive oil. Bake for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.

Top the Toasts
Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven and let them cool slightly. Spoon the prepared tomato mixture generously onto each slice.
