Method

Fries Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Fries

Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry frozen French fries according to package instructions until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Popcorn Chicken Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with salt and pepper. Dip each chicken cube first in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.

  2. 3

    Fry the Chicken

In the same oil used for the fries, fry the breaded chicken pieces in batches until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Garlic Parm Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in grated parmesan and chopped parsley. Season with salt to taste. Mix until combined and remove from heat.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Poutine

On a plate, layer the fries, followed by cheese curds, popcorn chicken, and pour hot gravy over the top. Drizzle with garlic parm sauce and finish with additional grated parmesan if desired.
