Preparation
Shucking Oysters
Carefully shuck the fresh oysters, retaining the juices in the shells. Place them on a baking tray.
Miso Gratin Mixture
In a separate bowl, whisk together the miso paste, cream, and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with black pepper to taste.
Assembly and Cooking
Assemble Oysters
Spoon the jalapeno maple topping onto each oyster, then pour the miso gratin mixture over the top to cover.
Bake
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the oysters for about 12-15 minutes, or until the topping is golden and bubbly.
Serving
Serve
Remove the oysters from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Serve warm, garnished with additional jalapeno slices if desired.
