Method

Making the Choux Pastry

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a saucepan, bring water, butter, and salt to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add flour all at once. Stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

  2. 2

    Add Eggs

Let the mixture cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth and glossy.

  3. 3

    Pipe and Bake

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the dough to a piping bag and pipe small mounds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely.

Assembling the Profiteroles

  1. 4

    Fill the Choux

Once cooled, carefully cut the tops off the profiteroles and fill them with vanilla ice cream using a spoon or piping bag.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Drizzle caramel and chocolate sauce over the filled profiteroles and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
