Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough

In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until combined.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.

  2. 6

    Shape the Dough

Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface to a 12-inch circle.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce and Cheese

Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or a floured surface. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the crust, then sprinkle with mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan cheese.

  4. 8

    Add Toppings

Distribute blistered cherry tomatoes over the cheese and add fresh basil leaves.

  5. 9

    Bake Pizza

Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.

  6. 10

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, slice, and serve with additional basil if desired.
