Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth. Fold in the toffee bits.
- 5
Bake the Cakes
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 6
Cool the Cakes
Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- 7
Prepare Ganache
For the ganache, heat 1 cup of heavy cream in a saucepan until it begins to simmer. Pour over 8 oz of chopped chocolate and let it sit for 5 minutes. Stir until smooth.

Assemble the Cake
Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate, pour some ganache over the top, then place the second layer on top and pour the remaining ganache over the entire cake.

Serve
Let the ganache set for a bit before slicing and serving. Enjoy your Chocolate Decadence!
