Method

Preparing the Bulgur

  1. 1

    Rinse and Soak Bulgur

In a medium bowl, rinse the bulgur wheat under cold water until the water runs clear. Then, add 2 cups of water, cover, and let it soak for about 20-30 minutes or until the bulgur is tender. Drain any excess water if necessary.

Preparing the Salad

  1. 2

    Chop the Vegetables

While the bulgur is soaking, finely chop the parsley, tomatoes, cucumber, green onions, and mint leaves. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Once the bulgur is ready, fluff it with a fork and add it to the bowl with the chopped vegetables. Mix everything together gently.

Making the Dressing

  1. 4

    Prepare the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to taste.

  2. 5

    Dress the Salad

Pour the dressing over the bulgur and vegetable mixture. Toss gently to ensure everything is well coated with the dressing.

Final Touch

  1. 6

    Serve

Taste the tabbouleh and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed. Serve immediately or refrigerate for about 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together before serving.
