Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough starts to form.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

Assembling Pizza

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 7

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into your desired pizza shape and thickness.

  3. 8

    Add Sauce

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  4. 9

    Add Cheese and Toppings

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then add the pepperoni slices and sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.

  5. 10

    Bake the Pizza

Transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 11

    Cool and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
