Meat Marinade

Pita

Method

Meat Marinade

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Meat

Cut the lamb or beef into thin strips and add it to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for best flavor.

Salad

  1. 3

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine diced cucumber, diced tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, crumbled feta cheese, sliced olives, and chopped parsley.

  2. 4

    Dress the Salad

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.

Cook the Meat

  1. 5

    Cook the Marinated Meat

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the meat from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Cook the meat for 5-7 minutes, or until it’s browned and cooked through, turning occasionally.

Serve

  1. 6

    Assemble the Plate

Warm the pita bread in a skillet or microwave. Serve the cooked meat on a plate with the salad on the side and warm pita bread.
