Falafel Preparation

Soak Chickpeas
Soak the dried chickpeas in water for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Drain Chickpeas
Drain the soaked chickpeas and rinse them under cold water.

Form Falafel
Form the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1.5 inches in diameter.

Fry Falafel
In a deep pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Fry the falafel balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Tzatziki Sauce Preparation

Prepare Cucumber
Grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel.

Warm Pita
Warm the pita bread in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds until pliable.

Prepare Tomato
Slice the tomato and set aside.

Open the pita bread and stuff with lettuce, falafel, sliced tomato, and a generous drizzle of tzatziki sauce.
