Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, about 450-500°F (232-260°C).

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the hot grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for your preferred doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Rosemary

In the last minute of cooking, place a sprig of fresh rosemary on the steaks for flavor. Remove steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.

  2. 6

    Cook the Potatoes

Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and cook potatoes for 15-20 minutes, or until they are tender and easily pierced with a fork.

  3. 7

    Prepare Garlic

While the potatoes are boiling, peel and mince the garlic cloves.

  4. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, minced garlic, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  5. 9

    Serve

Serve the garlic mashed potatoes alongside the grilled ribeye steaks.
