Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Octopus

If the octopus isn't cleaned, rinse it under cold water and remove the beak and ink sac. Pat dry.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Octopus

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Add the cleaned octopus and coat it well. Cover and let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the fridge.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Grill the Octopus

Place the marinated octopus on the grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred and cooked through. The octopus should be tender and have nice grill marks.

  3. 5

    Prepare the Lemon and Capers

While the octopus is grilling, slice the lemons into wedges. Rinse the capers under cold water and drain.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Octopus

Once grilled, remove the octopus from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice the tentacles into smaller pieces.

  2. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Arrange the octopus pieces on a serving platter. Sprinkle with capers, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish with lemon wedges and chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
