Herbal Infusion
Method
Preparation of Herbal Infusion
- 1
Gather Ingredients
Collect all the dried herbs and spices listed in the ingredients section.
- 2
Combine Herbs
In a large glass container, combine the dried gentian root, angelica root, wormwood, fennel seeds, juniper berries, coriander seeds, and orange peel.
- 3
Add Alcohol
Pour in the high-proof alcohol over the combined herbs until fully submerged. Seal the container tightly.
- 4
Infuse
Let the mixture sit in a dark, cool place for about 2 weeks. Shake the container gently every few days to help with the infusion process.
- 5
Strain the Mixture
After 2 weeks, strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the herbs from the liquid.
- 6
Dilute with Water
Mix the strained liquid with the water in a clean glass container. Stir well to combine.
- 7
Bottle the Digestive
Transfer the final mixture into small bottles for storage. Seal tightly and label.
