Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crabs

Rinse the fresh Maryland blue crabs under cold water to remove any debris. Make sure they are alive and healthy.

  2. 2

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning to the boiling water.

  3. 3

    Cook the Crabs

Carefully add the crabs to the boiling water. Cover the pot and boil for about 10-15 minutes, or until the crabs turn a bright orange color.

  4. 4

    Melt the Butter

While the crabs are cooking, melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan over low heat. You can add a sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning for extra flavor.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the crabs from the pot and let them drain. Serve hot with melted butter and lemon wedges on the side.
