Method
Crab Cake Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crab Mixture
In a large bowl, gently combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper until well mixed. Be careful not to break the crab meat too much.
- 2
Form the Crab Cakes
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick. Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- 3
Cook the Crab Cakes
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
- 4
Assemble the Sandwich
Place each crab cake on a toasted bun. Add your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce, and serve immediately.
