Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the sirloin steak in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F).

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Place the steak on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer based on your desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Serving

  1. 6

    Slice and Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and arrange on a serving platter. Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
