Preparation of Meat Filling
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until it's browned and cooked through.
- 2
Add Seasoning
Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess fat, then add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
- 3
Simmer
Bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.

Warm Taco Shells
If using soft taco shells, wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave for 30 seconds to warm. For hard taco shells, place them on a baking sheet and heat in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 5-7 minutes.

Assemble Tacos
In each taco shell, add a generous amount of the cooked meat filling. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and guacamole as desired.
