Method
Preparation of Jalapeño Poppers
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Prepare the Jalapeños
Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. This will help reduce the heat level.
- 3
Make the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, bacon bits, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 4
Fill the Jalapeños
Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them generously.
- 5
Drizzle with Olive Oil
Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and drizzle with olive oil.
- 6
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

- 7
Prepare the Plates
While the jalapeños are baking, prepare your serving plate by arranging a bed of lettuce.
- 8
Add the Poppers
Once baked, carefully place the jalapeño poppers on top of the lettuce.
- 9
Add Condiments
Serve with a side of sour cream and pico de gallo for dipping.
