Prepare the Ingredients
Start by dicing the jalapeño pepper and chopping the green onions. Set aside.

Combine Dairy Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, and sour cream. Stir until well mixed.

Heat the Mixture
Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring frequently, until the cheeses are melted and the mixture is smooth, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Vegetables and Spices
Once the cheese mixture is smooth, add in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, diced jalapeño pepper, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until heated through.
Serving

Serve the Queso Dip
Remove the queso dip from heat, and transfer it to a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve warm with corn tortilla chips.
