Method

Taquitos

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, shredded cheese, salt, ground cumin, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Assemble Taquitos

Take a corn tortilla, spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling onto one end, and roll it tightly. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.

  3. 3

    Fry the Taquitos

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add taquitos, seam side down. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Fried Tacos

  1. 4

    Cook the Beef

In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat, then season with salt, ground cumin, and ground black pepper.

  2. 5

    Assemble Fried Tacos

Take a corn tortilla, add 2-3 tablespoons of the beef filling, and fold it in half. Repeat with remaining tortillas and beef.

  3. 6

    Fry the Tacos

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Carefully add folded tacos to the oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Chips

  1. 7

    Serve the Chips

Open the bag of tortilla chips and place them in a serving bowl.

Salsa

  1. 8

    Prepare the Salsa

Chop tomatoes, onion, and cilantro. In a bowl, mix them together and add lime juice and salt. Stir until well combined.
