Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). If you are using canned green chiles, drain them well. Shred the cheese and cooked meat of your choice (beef, chicken, or pork).
Assembling the Tacos
- 2
Fill the Tortillas
Take a flour tortilla and lay it flat on a clean surface. Scoop about 1/4 cup of the cooked meat onto the center of the tortilla. Add 2 tablespoons of green chiles and 1/4 cup of shredded cheese on top of the meat.
- 3
Fold the Tortillas
Carefully fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and then roll it from the bottom up to enclose the filling completely. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
Baking
- 4
Bake the Tacos
Place the assembled tacos seam-side down in a baking dish. Once all tacos are assembled, sprinkle any remaining shredded cheese on top. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
- 5
Serve Hot
Remove the tacos from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve hot with your favorite toppings, such as salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.
