Prepare the Base

    Cook the brown rice

    In a medium pot, combine 1 cup of brown rice with 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 40-45 minutes or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed.

    Heat the black beans and corn

    In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of black beans and 1 cup of corn. Heat over medium heat until warmed through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cook the Meat

    Cook the bacon

    In a skillet over medium heat, cook 4 slices of bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Chop into bite-sized pieces.

    Cook the sausage

    In the same skillet, cook 1 sausage link until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Slice into rounds.

    Cook the chorizo

    In the skillet, add 1 cup of chorizo and cook over medium heat, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

    Cook the adovada

    In the skillet, add 1 cup of adovada and cook over medium heat until warmed through, about 5-7 minutes.

    Cook the green pork

    In the same skillet, add 1 cup of green pork and cook until heated through and slightly crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

Assemble the Burrito Bowl

    Layer the ingredients

    In a bowl, start with a base of brown rice, then layer with black beans and corn.

    Add the meat

    Choose your meat option(s) and add them on top of the rice and beans.

    Top with toppings

    Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, a dollop of sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole, and salsa on top.
