Steak

Method

Preparing the steak

  1. 1

    Season and Cook the Steak

Season the arrachera steak with salt and black pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Frying the cheese

  1. 2

    Prepare the Jack Cheese

In a bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch. Dip each slice of jack cheese in the flour mixture, then in water, and back into the flour mixture to coat. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

  2. 3

    Fry the Cheese

Carefully place the coated cheese slices in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Making the chipotle crema

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix the sour cream, chipotle peppers, and lime juice until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Taqueso Carne

On a plate, place a layer of the crispy fried jack cheese, add sliced arrachera steak on top, drizzle with chipotle crema, and garnish with sliced avocado and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
