Carne Asada

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the arrachera steak and coat well. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Fries

While the steak is resting, prepare your fries according to package instructions or make homemade fries from scratch.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Carne Asada Fries

Cut the rested steak into thin strips. Place the fries on a serving plate, top with the sliced steak, and add your favorite toppings such as cheese, guacamole, salsa, and sour cream.
