Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Romaine
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Dry it using a salad spinner or by patting it with a clean kitchen towel. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
Crouton Preparation
- 2
Make the Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into cubes and place them in a mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then add garlic powder and salt. Toss until the bread is evenly coated. Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove from oven and let cool.
Dressing & Assembly
- 3
Combine and Serve
Once the croutons have cooled, add them to the bowl with the romaine lettuce. Pour the fat-free Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Grate fresh Parmesan cheese over the top to finish. Serve immediately.
